We offer a traditional degree leading to a speech and language qualification. You will work in a supportive environment with fantastic opportunities for personal and professional development. You will facilitate learning alongside people with lived experience and contribute to a dynamic research community. This will involve developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate speech and language therapy and health related programmes. You will be an engaging teacher, keen to conduct high quality research and contribute to our strategic ambitions. You will provide placement support to learners and clinical educators.

Commitment to innovative student-centred learning is essential. You should have a broad knowledge of contemporary speech and language therapy practice and research. Applicants will be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. They should have relevant post registration experience as a speech and language therapist. Dysphagia management training is desirable. You will have a Masters Degree (or equivalent) and will be required to register for doctoral study within 12 months of appointment. Please note candidates who are professionally qualified and have commenced Masters-level qualification(s) – such that they can complete a level-7 qualification in their first year of employment and move directly on to Doctoral study – will also be considered. You should be a member of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or have the capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Regular status checks may also be required, depending on your role.
