The Role
We are recruiting within our Physiotherapy team in the Centre for Allied Health, part of St George’s University of London (SGUL). Successful candidate will join the team in providing high quality pre-registration Physiotherapy programmes at BSc and MSc level and the post registration Masters level Advanced Clinical Practice provision. There are also opportunities for staff within the team to contribute to and develop their research activity in the Centre for Allied Health and St George’s University of London.
The Person
We are looking for qualified Physiotherapists from practice and/or with experience of teaching in Higher Education. We are particularly interested in Physiotherapists with expertise in Musculoskeletal and respiratory for our pre-registration programmes and with a qualification in prescribing to service our successful advanced clinical practice provision. Roles can be fractional.
You will have the ability to inspire our students and provide an excellent experience for them as they learn. Alongside being involved in the pastoral care of students, you will be encouraged and supported to further your interests in scholarship or professional practice. Clinically up-to-date, you will have excellent communication skills and demonstrate the confidence to inspire a diverse range of post-qualifying and pre-registration students.
Whatever your background, you’ll have HCPC registration and a Master’s degree. Having a teaching qualification, such as the UKPSF2 or PGCHE would also be an advantage, although this would be supported within role if not already acquired. The Faculty supports new members of staff to gain appropriate qualifications and is keen to support ongoing academic and professional development.
Centre for Allied Health
The Physiotherapy team is part of the Centre for Allied Health at St George’s University of London (SGUL). The Centre is currently supported as part of the Faculty of Health Social Care and Education a joint enterprise between Kingston University and SGUL, hence the recruitment process is being managed via Kingston University. Staff in the Centre are passionate about developing the future and existing workforce for a range of Allied Health Professions including Occupational Therapists, Paramedics, Diagnostic Radiographers, and Radiotherapists in addition to Physiotherapists, as well as educating those already registered on the Advanced Clinical Practice programme at SGUL. We support our students to ensure they get education, skills, and expertise they need to make a lasting impact on healthcare within society, both in the University with state of the Art simulation and in practice. As part of St George’s, University of London, we have access to cutting edge research for the health care workforce.

This role is based at our St George’s University of London site in Tooting. This is a full-time permanent role with a starting salary of £39,932 per annum or £44,614 per annum depending on experience plus a St George’s supplement of £730 per annum.
