This is exciting opportunity for an HCPC registered occupational therapist who has experience of teaching or anyone wishing to begin a career in academia who brings with them contemporary knowledge from practice.
As a Lecturer, you will contribute to occupational therapy specific and generic modules across all of the occupational therapy, rehabilitation and health programmes. Other responsibilities will involve student support, module delivery and leadership, practice learning working with practice partners, personal tutor duties and other academic lecturer roles.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will oversee and support the work of others and be expected to take on leadership roles, for example placement or programme lead as well as lead occupational therapy specific and generic modules across all of the occupational therapy, rehabilitation and health programmes. Other responsibilities will involve student support, module delivery and leadership, practice learning working with practice partners, personal tutor duties and other academic lecturer roles.
Working in partnership with local NHS trusts, health and social care providers, service users and carers; our Institute of Health provides initial pre-registration education for a broad range of health care professionals, including occupational therapy, diagnostic radiography, sports rehabilitation and coaching, midwifery, physiotherapy, social work, children and families, psychology, paramedic, counselling, all four fields of nursing, assistant practitioner and nursing associate. Our well-established portfolio of continuing professional development is key to workforce development and upskilling of staff who are employed within the sector.
