The Role

Forward-looking, focused, and innovative. You are resourceful, highly motivated, creative and ambitious then Kingston University is yours to achieve. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with expertise in leadership practice to join our established team of academics.

Articulate and well respected, in collaboration with the team you will design, develop, and deliver high quality, vibrant and innovative learning and teaching. You will lead modules on our MSc in Clinical Leadership and be integral to the implementation of our recently validated PGDip Leadership in Health and Social Care (Apprenticeship). You will work with students undertaking modules within our undergraduate (nursing), postgraduate and workforce development portfolio that can be translated into real-world skills and approaches developing health and care professionals for tomorrow’s workforce. Central to your role will be working in partnership with employers and practice partners, student support and enhancement, supervision of research projects and some administrative responsibilities. Pedagogical or leadership practice research will be supported and encouraged.

The Person

The successful candidate will have extensive leadership experience. They will hold or be working towards a doctorate or post-graduate qualification in leadership or a related discipline or hold an equivalent professional qualification for example in health, nursing/midwifery or social care.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate that they meet Kingston University standards in learning and teaching, and research. Ideally, they will have a recognised teaching and learning qualification. Those who do not possess a recognised teaching and learning qualification will by the end of their probation period, have achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition. For those new to teaching, this will be through our accredited Introduction to Learning and Teaching and for those experienced in teaching, through our Kingston Academic Practice Standards Framework.
