We are seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer who is an inspirational educator and role model to contribute to Anatomy teaching across the Schools undergraduate medicine programme.
In this role you make a major contribution to the development of the KMMS undergraduate medicinal programme, introducing teaching innovation to the development and delivery of undergraduate education throughout the programme.
As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Anatomy you will:
- deliver high quality teaching in Anatomical Sciences in a variety of settings from human cadaveric dissection sessions and small group living anatomy sessions to large lectures
- develop own teaching materials, methods and approaches to ensure content, methods of delivery and learning materials meet defined learning objectives
- collaborate with colleagues in the school and wider Universities’, taking on appropriate management and administrative responsibilities, contributing to a cohesive and collegial work environment
At senior lecturer level you will also undertake additional leadership roles within the School such as leading on all Anatomy taught content or another aspect of the programme, subject to individual area or expertise and workload planning discussions.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a primary degree or equivalent in a subject related to the undergraduate medical programme at KMMS
- a research or professional doctoral degree (PhD) or MD) or close to completion in human anatomy or a related subject
- academic credibility with a track record of excellence in teaching (at Senior Lecturer level sustained/significant)
KMMS has been created to be a beacon for first-class medical education and research. KMMS opened to its first cohort of 108 pioneer students in September 2020 and brings together the existing centres of excellence in health and medical education provided by the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University and local healthcare organisations, to offer a new model of person-centred medical education.
