About you

The skills and experience you will need to be successful

You will be a Registered Nurse with the NMC as an Adult Nurse and hold an Honours Degree (or equivalent) or higher in a relevant area. For the Senior Lecturer post, a Master’s Degree and a Teaching Qualification are essential (successful candidates will be supported to study for one and will be offered the role at Grade 7).

You will have experience in supporting student learning in either a practice or classroom setting. For the Senior Lecturer, you’ll also demonstrate experience in facilitating student learning in a University setting (e.g. student nurses). It’s key to understand current NMC requirements and standards of proficiency, and for the Senior Lecturer also evidence of evidence-based teaching practice. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of teamworking and working autonomously as well as having excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be student-focused in your approach and be willing to use and learn the latest thinking in digital and technological tools for student support and learning.

Details about the role

Permanent / Fulltime FTE 1.0 / Monday to Friday (working 35 hours per week, part-time also available and will be considered).

Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on-site and from home, confirmation of days worked on campus is arranged with the line manager.
