The School of Health looking for an enthusiastic and experienced academic staff to support the growth of the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy programme. The programme is the latest addition to the allied health professions suite of courses on offer at the university. The innovative curricula have been co-produced and designed with key stakeholders to develop the Occupational Therapists of the future.

This post offers an exciting opportunity for you to be involved in moving the School of Health forward with its strategic plan to deliver a sustainable health and social care workforce for Gloucestershire and beyond in collaboration with strategic healthcare partners.

We are welcoming applications from academic staff with a proven track record of Occupational Therapy education (lecturer or senior lecturer) or those looking to move into an education role from clinical settings (lecturer role). Experience of leadership in health and social care would be advantageous.

You will have substantial clinical expertise and a passion for supporting students to succeed in a clinical and/or education setting. As a lecturer grade you would be expected to undertake a post graduate certificate in academic practice (PGCAP) on appointment to the role.

You must be an Occupational Therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.

The School of Health+ will be relocating from its current premises on Oxstalls Campus to the City Campus, a new development for the University that will be a focal point of Gloucester City, and a modern centre for teaching learning and community partnerships.

This post requires a DBS check.
