Nursing Education Fellow (Adult) Lecturer Level (Part-time – Permanent or Secondment) Grade 7 (0.4 FTE) (equivalent to 2 days per week).
We are offering a number of exciting secondment opportunities (7 in total) for nurses and practice educators currently working in North Central London (NCL) to join our team of Nursing Academics in supporting student learning – both in practice and in a University setting.
You will get the opportunity to work with our teams, developing skills for use with educational technologies in the classroom, online and in our skills labs, to support the development of the next generations of nursing. You will work with Programme Leads, students and our skills team for the equivalent of two days each week (0.4fte). The remainder of your time will be spent working within your employing Trust in a clinical or education post.
Salary will be matched (at no more than the equivalence of Step Point 2 of NHS Band 6, including inner London Weighting) and successful candidates terms and conditions of employment will remain with their seconding Trust.
You need to have excellent communication and team working skills, be able to engage with a variety of stakeholders, and demonstrate positive professional and educational role modelling. You need to bring creative ideas and clinical expertise to support the development of our nursing students in the classroom, skills lab or practice setting. You will need to adapt quickly to using a variety of digital and other learning technologies and be able to participate in change at pace. You need to have a passion for supporting and developing yourself and others.
This is an exciting development opportunity for existing nurse educators or registered nurses at senior Band 5 or Band 6 levels (up to Step Point 2 on the Band 6 scale), wishing to pursue a career in nursing education. Career development support and mentoring will be offered as part of your career development plan.
