Background
We are seeking to appoint 3 new outstanding Lecturers in Psychology who have experience in a range of topics and can enhance our students’ experience through innovative pedagogy. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with expertise in Organisational Psychology and the Psychology of Consumer Behaviour but welcome applications also from those who can complement our department in other areas. We are a thriving, research intensive department that delivers high standards of teaching through innovative pedagogy. We have excellent laboratory infrastructure to support our research and teaching and are proud to be ranked as one of the top 5 Psychology Departments in London in the recent NSS.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will primarily be expected to contribute to taught modules of our undergraduate programmes in Psychology and Psychology with Criminology but may also be involved in teaching on our MSc programmes in Organisational Psychology, Behavioural Economics and Clinical Social and Cognitive Neuroscience. In addition, the successful candidate will also perform the role of personal tutor to students, supervise dissertations, contribute to departmental administrative duties, and contribute to team, departmental and wider school events and meetings.

Person Specification
The candidate should be able to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching in areas of Psychology that is tailored to diverse student needs and informed by innovative pedagogy and scholarship as demonstrated through engagement with the UK Professional Standards Framework for Teaching and supporting learning in Higher Education. Candidates must have an honours degree in a related discipline and postgraduate qualifications or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
