The Department of Allied Health Professions and Life Sciences is one of the UK’s leading centers of health education and one of the first UK Universities to offer Allied Health Professions Degree Apprenticeship courses.

Our teaching team has a range of expertise in all areas of physiotherapy and are responsible for the educational portfolio which includes the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, BSc Rehabilitation Studies, Pre-reg MSc Specialist Physiotherapy Practice and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Musculoskeletal. In addition, the team contributes to cross Department and cross College teaching including the interprofessional education provision, BSc Physiotherapy Degree Apprenticeship and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice Higher Degree Apprenticeship.

You will be involved in supporting the delivery across our interprofessional portfolio and in addition, there may be opportunities to contribute to the wider health portfolio as appropriate.

You must be a HCPC registered Physiotherapist and have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to contemporary physiotherapy. We ideally seek to employ a candidate who is at the forefront of new ways of working within the NHS in either primary or secondary settings demonstrating care innovation and emerging management pathways. It is desirable you will have experience in non-traditional physiotherapy roles such as admission prevention, discharge to assess roles, integrated services or rehabilitation in the community.

You must have experience of formal teaching, training and supervising students, and be able to contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate courses including our distance learning provision and apprenticeships. The ability to inspire, enthuse and connect with a range of stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds is required.
