Lecturer in Paramedic Sciences (0.5fte)
£34,304 to £40,927 per annum, pro rata
The School of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a part-time (0.5fte) Lecturer in Paramedic Sciences (ATS Grade 7) as part of a new staff development pathway for current healthcare practitioners who have an interest in developing an academic career alongside their clinical practice.
You will have a good honours degree (2:1) in a relevant subject area (e.g. Paramedic) as well as holding a professional registration as a healthcare professional. You will be able to demonstrate expertise and experience (minimum 1 year post registration) of clinical practice in any field relevant to paramedics e.g. ambulance service, primary care, education, off-shore, prisons.
The post will be offered as a 0.5fte (2.5 days per week) to allow applicants to maintain a clinical portfolio alongside their academic role. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain academic experience and develop their higher education career in a supportive environment with a clear structure for personal and professional development.
The post is available immediately on a part-time (0.5fte), indefinite basis and will be subject to an enhanced criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
