About the vacancy:
The Department of Social Sciences at the University of the West of England (UWE) Bristol is seeking to appoint two x 0.5 FTE Lecturers in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Fixed term for 12 months). The successful applicants will be Counsellor or Psychotherapist with recent practice experience, registered (at minimum) with appropriate professional statutory or regulatory body, with a commitment to innovative and high-quality teaching.
The posts are based in the Counselling and Psychotherapy team within the interdisciplinary Department of Social Sciences within the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences. Our staff are professional practitioners and researchers at the forefront of their specialist areas. Our students benefit from their cutting-edge insight, practical experience, and innovative approaches to teaching. We collaborate closely with employers and stakeholders to ensure that our curricula remain current, topical, and relevant to societal needs.
About you
The successful applicants will join a team who teach across the Certificate in Counselling Skills and the MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy programmes. We are seeking to appoint Lecturers with practice experience who will be able to contribute to integrative programmes and provide clinical and research supervision, workshops and lecturing, which provide highly regarded professional trainings and which have impact in the immediate locality and beyond.
