About the role

This full- time post is an exciting opportunity for a candidate interested to work in higher education but wish to develop their learning and teaching in a supportive environment.

The University of Derby has expanded its provision in nursing education including children nursing. Our children Nursing provision is growing, and in our strive to expand our staffing resource, we are seeking to recruit an Educator to contribute to the delivery of this programme.

It is essential that you are focused on providing an excellent student experience and understand the importance of supporting students in the workplace. You will have a strong clinical and/or educational background, be innovative and creative and innovative in your role and will contribute to enhancing the quality of children nursing education.

In this role, you will develop and deliver an innovative and flexible range of learning and teaching materials in a relevant subject area or across modules that provide high quality, accessible learning opportunities and an exceptional student experience in line with the University’s strategic objectives, ensuring that employability and ‘real-world’ learning are at the heart of the curriculum. You will also engage in research which influences leading edge practice, informs and inspires the research-led curriculum and teaching and contributes to continuing subject expertise and contribution to the REF.
