An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for a registered nurse (Child) to join our highly committed pre-registration nursing team as an indefinite, full time Lecturer.
Nursing and Trainee Nursing Associate programmes are delivered at a number of sites, including Preston, Burnley and Westlakes. It is anticipated that this post will be largely based in Preston.

The successful applicant will be focussed on delivery of the children’s nursing pre-registration programme and research. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate should be able to teach across a range of courses and be a module leader. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, visionary, and keen to shape nurse education.

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be educated to at least degree level (Honours preferred in a Health-related subject). A master’s degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable. Utilising planning and organisational skills, communication and interpersonal skills the successful applicants will be able to work both independently and collaboratively.

Contemporary practice experience is essential, supported by teaching experience, and you will have a keen interest in developments in the field. Experience of mentoring, assessing and supervising student nurses in practice is required. You’ll be committed to the success of your pre-registration nursing students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in both the classroom and in practice.
