Are you interested in teaching the next generation of medical professionals, working at the number one University in Greater Manchester for student experience?

Here at the University of Bolton, we are proud of our growing reputation as a student focused University. With our strategy of “Teaching Intensive, Research Informed” we are committed to offering our students the best experience possible. Our staff are at the heart of everything we do and they pride themselves on being outstanding professionals that provide excellent learning, teaching and applied research and support in the provision of custom-designed, industry led courses in numerous subject areas.

The School of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences has a strong reputation and expertise in the North-West. We are currently seeking to recruit an additional Biomedical Science Lecturer, with experience of working in the NHS (or equivalent) as a biomedical scientist to join our growing team. The key duties will be to contribute to the teaching and delivery of the Biomedical Science and Medical Biology undergraduate programmes, and to support across the wider School as needed.

A Masters degree or equivalent, and preferably a teaching qualification, are requirements for the role. You will also need to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a professional biomedical scientist. We are absolutely committed to teaching excellence, and will therefore provide comprehensive support to help you make the transition from your current position to academia, if required. We will work with you to agree a personal development plan (including a formal teaching qualification) to enable your success.
