The University of Derby is pleased to be able to offer a fixed term opportunity to support the Pre-registration Adult Nursing Programme.

You will join a team of enthusiastic, committed and friendly staff who deliver pre-registration and post-registration nursing and healthcare courses at the University of Derby.

The post is based in the School of Nursing and Professional Practice, one of two subject areas within the College of Health and Social Care. However, the post holders will also be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines within the College. The subject area offers programmes ranging from those for unqualified support staff, to Honours, Masters and Doctoral Degrees, which include Community Specialist and Advanced Nursing Practice.

About the role

You will need to be innovative and creative in your role and contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare education, as well as taking forward the research and scholarship agenda. It is extremely important that our successful candidates not only understand the student experience, but that they genuinely enjoy making a positive impact for them both in and out of classes.

The role will contribute to programme delivery across the suite of programmes offered by the Department, ranging from Foundation Degree to Masters’ as appropriate.

You will need to have a strong clinical and educational background in Adult nursing and will focus on delivering an excellent student experience.

This is fixed term for 9 months.
