Background
The Department of Nursing in the School of Health & Psychological Sciences is one of London’s most established providers of health care education, delivering high quality undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. It has a strong portfolio of world-leading research in the areas of child health; mental health care; people with physical health and long-term conditions; acute and critical care; and care of the older person. The department works in partnership with service users and carers, alongside health and social care experts and providers, to develop and deliver education and research which shapes future nurse leaders.
Responsibilities
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate with extensive experience in the area of community and adult nursing particularly the management of long-term conditions. The successful applicant will be an NMC registered nurse and preferably an independent non-medical prescriber.
Person Specification
- The appointed candidate will have a higher degree in a relevant health or social science discipline, NMC or HCPC registration and a relevant teaching qualification, or a willingness to undertake one.
- A breadth and depth of specialist knowledge in adult & community nursing and non-medical prescribing.
