Full-time: 35 Hours per week
The School of Health and Life Sciences is a multidisciplinary School, with a diverse range of programmes delivered at our Ayr, Dumfries, Lanarkshire, London and Paisley campuses with around 6000 students.
An opportunity has arisen for a lecturer to join the School, where teaching and research are at the heart of all the School’s activities. Ideally, the successful candidate will be a registered mental health nurse with extensive clinical, social care and/or academic experience and with a Higher degree in a relevant subject. The post is based at our campus in Lanarkshire.
The post requires a highly skilled and motivated person with clinical credibility to contribute to the currency and clinical relevance of our mental health, older people and/or social care programmes. Specialist knowledge in a particular field of mental health (CAMHS, CBT, Older People) would be desirable to deliver and develop our post graduate portfolio. The ability to contribute to module and programme development is also integral to this post, along with engagement in wider academic activities such as consultancy and CPD. Undertaking research, development and/ or scholarship to enhance teaching or academic knowledge is encouraged.
New appointments joining the University, or an existing employee promoted to a new grade or job, are usually placed on the minimum salary point of the grade.
