Lecturer – Children’s Nursing
Salary/Grade: £35,326 to £50,296 per annum – Grade 7/8

As a lecturer at University of Plymouth, you will be expected to contribute to, and as appropriate, lead the provision of outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, scholarship and knowledge transfer. You will specifically contribute to the academic development of children’s nursing relating to the care of children and families in all healthcare settings. You will join our enthusiastic and proactive children’s nursing team who have expertise in primary and secondary care teaching across all programmes where children and young people come into contact with health care.

You will currently have the following experience to bring to this role:

  • Registration as a children’s nurse on the Nursing and Midwifery Council register
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of current children’s nursing practice
  • Ideally contemporary experience in clinical skills teaching
  • An awareness of current priorities
  • Evidence of the potential to contribute scholarly activity
  • Relevant recent clinical experience

You would either possess or be willing to work towards:

  • A Master’s degree qualification in a relevant health related subject.
  • A recognised teacher qualification or willingness to obtain one

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week and is fixed-term to cover a period of maternity leave which is anticipated to be for approximately 12 months.

Flexible working options including job share will be considered.
