We are looking for a dynamic clinical to support 0.4wte post, great opportunity to expand your learning and teaching pillar skills and experience.

This post is based in the School of Health Sciences, University of Surrey, within the state-of-the-art Education and Clinical Simulation Centre.

With the ever-increasing recognition of the benefits to quality patient care, that can be achieved through Advanced HCP roles, demand for programmes such as MSc Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP), Health Assessment and Independent and Supplementary Prescribing (V300) have grown.  To support this we are seeking to appoint a clinically active ACP with V300/independent prescribing qualification.  This 0.4 FTE role is dedicated solely to supporting the ACP and Independent Prescribing Programmes.  This post represents a significant opportunity for a talented and ambitious healthcare professional interested in developing the education pillar of their ACP practice, through working within a HEI setting.

We welcome applications from ACP’s working in any clinical area, to compliment the current diverse team.  You will be joining an experienced team of senior clinicians with strong education backgrounds, therefore experience of a previous education role is not a requirement, as the successful candidate will be supported to develop their education portfolio.

This post is part of an externally funded project in collaboration with HEE that has been running for 3 years.  It is being offered on a yearly fixed term contract, however as with previous years, this is reviewed yearly against HEE programme demand, so has the potential for extensions.  This is an ideal opportunity for a part-time secondment from clinical practice with financial backfill provided.

If you would like to discuss any of this opportunity contact: Amy Dopson, Head of Department Education – CPD (a.dopson@surrey.ac.uk) or Mark Stobbart, Director of Studies MSc ACP (m.stobbart@surrey.ac.uk).

We look forward to receiving your application via The University of Surrey’s website – jobs.surrey.ac.uk/020923
