An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare (CNMH) as our Lead for Healthcare Apprenticeships (Senior Lecturer). The role is varied and will encompass the following:

Apprenticeships

You will:

  • Work with employers to establish apprenticeship course indicative numbers and support the recruitment process.
  • Distribute progress reports to employers.
  • Undertake apprenticeship data checks
  • Have oversight of the compliance metrics required for apprenticeships i.e. attendance monitoring, completion of Record of Progress, Apprenticeship Support Link Tutor Visits.
  • Work with the central University apprenticeship team, Functional Skills team and employers to update apprentices English and maths status (ensuring this is in place prior to Gateway), where this is not held on entry.
  • Attend CNMH and wider University apprenticeship working groups as relevant/designated by the Deputy Dean.

Planning re Fee Paying Pre-Registration Target Numbers

You will:

  • Work with healthcare practice partners to confirm the number of fee paying pre-registration students they are able to support and provide updates re recruitment progress and the final recruitment position.

Teaching

You will:

  • Teach 0.2WTE across the College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare apprenticeship provision, as relevant to your professional registration.

As a member of the academic team, you will also actively engage in professional development and research/scholarly activity as per UWL Academic Framework.

Salary: £48,444 to £54,030 per annum
