The Department of Health Professions, Sport and Exercise is seeking to appoint a Head of Division of Maternal Health to lead the already successful work of the Division. This position offers an exciting and unique opportunity for someone from a midwifery background to take a strategic role in the leadership and ongoing developments of an exciting portfolio of education and research.
The job would ideally suit someone with academic leadership experience of teaching and research in midwifery. Current registration with the NMC as a midwife, and a post-registration Masters degree are essential. You must be a member of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or have capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment, and you must be a Chartered Member of the Chartered Management Institute or be willing to commence this within first 12 months of employment. You must also be nearing the end of your doctorate, if you do not already have this completed.
