As Head of Department (Sciences), you will be a core member of the School Management Team, providing academic leadership and contributing to the strategic operation and direction of the School.
We are looking for an experienced leader with experience of working ideally in an academic environment, to provide strategic direction and to devise operational plans to meet objectives. Key priorities will include reviewing and developing the taught portfolio (including apprenticeships), enhancing student, research and entrepreneurial performance and effectively managing and motivating staff.
Candidates for the position must have a credible professional and academic record and will be able to demonstrate a high level of strategic thinking and planning. Effective organisation and project management skills are essential, as is the ability to build teams and promote working relationships.
