The School of Health and Care (Formerly Faculty of Health and Life Sciences – School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health) delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings including; nursing, nursing associates, midwifery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practice, diagnostic radiography, clinical psychology and public health. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including Advanced Clinical Practice, Independent prescribing and Global Healthcare Management.
The Role
The post holder will work closely with School leadership team and other colleagues across the wider university group. Externally you will take a lead on all aspects of delivery, development and enhancement of the academic offer at the Hudson campus, Vauxhall, London. You will be responsible for promoting and growing the reputation and reach of Coventry University within London acting as the local lead and ambassador for the campus.
The post holder will lead, manage and develop the Hudson academic team to ensure they are effective, efficient and generally high performing across the full range of performance metrics. Working with Curriculum Leads within the School of Health and Care, the post holder will collaborate on the review, enhancement and development of the existing academic provision, as well as new programme developments, ensuring changes are aligned to current and future demand, informed by necessary data, and enable student recruitment targets to be achieved. This will ensure the courses delivered at the Hudson campus are fresh and contemporary, informed by and contributing to best practice in the sector.
Qualifications Required
A PhD or equivalent, plus experience, in the relevant subject area or an equivalent level of professional experience alongside a postgraduate qualification in the relevant subject.
Evidence of continuing professional development.
