The School of Nursing and Allied Health is a leading provider of nurse education for the London and Buckinghamshire region and is pleased to invite applications for a new Graduate Teaching Associate (Functional Skills-English and Maths)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the innovative Pre-Qualifying Nursing team. The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health has a strong history of high quality nursing education and is leading the way in apprenticeship delivery of healthcare programmes. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering student-focused education to support the academic skill development of our students, in particular literacy and numeracy functional skills.
The key purpose of the role is to support teaching and learning through the delivery of academic study skill focused sessions in accordance to programme requirements. The post holder, in conjunction with module/course leaders, will design and prepare innovative teaching material within the overall module/course framework. There is an expectation of collaborative working across the School and central support services (e.g. Learning Development Unit) to delivery of a first class student experience.
Applicants will be a graduate and have recent experience in teaching literacy and numeracy functional skills at level 2 and above. Have a recognised teaching qualification in Functional Skills teaching (or equivalent) or be willing to undertake one. Willingness to work across campuses and off-site is necessary.
