The School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast is seeking to appoint External Examiners to our Post Registration Midwifery and the Master’s Examination Boards. Experienced External Examiners would be preferred but those seeking a first position and having relevant clinical and educational experience will also be considered. All applicants must be at Senior Lecturer level or above. It is anticipated that you would commence in October 2021 for a period of 4 years.
Full course details and documentation will be provided to the appointee with an induction at the University on appointment. The post requires external moderation of assessments, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at the relevant Board of Examiner meetings and in line with NMC requirements, visits to Clinical Practice areas.
The areas of expertise in which we require examiners are as follows:
Specialist Practice Programmes at level 6 and level 7, MSc Advanced Professional Practice and MSc Advanced Professional and Clinical Practice
Post Registration Midwifery including Ultrasound, Neonatal and Examination of the Newborn
