The School of Nursing in the Faculty of Health and Care at the University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint external examiners for the following programmes:

  • Certificate (Level 6/7) – Principles of Stroke Practice x 1

The successful applicants must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and have relevant experience of teaching on post graduate taught modules and/or course. The ‘Principles of Stroke Practice’ is taught at level 6 and 7. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff.

Induction material is provided to support new and existing applicants. If you are new to external examining, you will be able to access a robust support system to support EE reports and attendance at the course assessment boards.

The External Examiner will be expected to review planned assessments, sample of assessment completed by students, write a required reports as part of the role, and attend the progression board. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment.
