The School of Nursing & Midwifery at the University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an external examiner for the following programmes:
- MSc Nursing (UCLan Online)
The successful applicants must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and have relevant experience of teaching on post-graduate modules/courses including dissertation modules. The course is delivered online through Canvas with three cohorts per year. Experience of using Canvas preferred but not essential as training can be provided. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff.
Induction material is provided to support new and existing applicants. If you are new to external examining, you will be able to access a robust support system to support EE reports and attendance at the course assessment boards.
The External Examiner will be expected to review planned assessments, sample of assessment completed by students, write a required reports as part of the role, and attend the progression board. All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment.
