The University of Salford is seeking to appoint two additional External Examiners for our BSc/MA pre-registration nursing programme pathways.
- BSc (Hons) / MA Nursing RN Children & Young People x 1
- BSc (Hons) / MA Nursing RN Adult or Mental Health x 1
At least one External Examiner is required from the field of Children and Young People’s (CYP) Nursing. A further External Examiner is required from either Adult or Mental Health Nursing.
Suitable candidates will have experience in teaching and examining at a UK HE institution, have a good understanding of quality assurance issues at HE level, including the QAA Quality Code and have specific subject knowledge in the programme(s) being considered. Current registration on the appropriate part of the NMC register is also required. Previous experience as an external examiner is preferred but not essential. The appointments will be until 30 September 2025.

Full details of modules contained within each level of the programme will be provided on request. The curriculum has been developed and approved to meet the NMC’s Future Nurse Standards (NMC, 2018).
