The School of Nursing is seeking the appointment of two external examiners for the Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) Adult Nursing Field 3-year programme.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified academic staff; applicants must hold current NMC registration in the adult field and hold a recorded teaching qualification with the NMC.
Experience of external examining would be an advantage but is not essential. The school operates on-line submission, marking and feedback of assignments. Experience of Turnitin and Blackboard would be desirable. The post will contribute to the quality and integrity of the programme through external moderation of assessments. The role requires reviewing adult field modules, generic modules and review of RPL portfolios, completion of monitoring reports, annual report and attendance at the Board of Examiners at least once a year. There will also be a requirement to meet with students.
The appointment will be with immediate effect and will be for a 4-year term. Full course details and documentation will be provided to the appointee and an induction will be offered.
