The University of Bradford is looking for a UK-registered social worker with experience of assessment to join its External Examiner team for its undergraduate Social Work programmes.
The BA (Hons) Social Work programme can be studied as an academic degree with a placement or the Social Worker Integrated Degree Apprenticeship for experienced care staff looking to up-skill. The programmes are accredited by Social Work England. The successful applicant will work alongside the existing Examiner and will be offered a 4-year term commencing September 2023.

The annual fee due to you is to be determined from workload but will be in the range of £910-£1495 depending on student numbers. The fee is paid upon receipt of the annual report and other expenses are payable throughout the year.
You will be able to demonstrate current experience within social work and social care that aligns to the Social Work England professional standards and provide a registration number with your CV. Applications are welcome from social workers registered in other nations but you will need to join the Social Work England register before the start of the appointment.
The appointee will be required to moderate a sample of work, attend Assessment Committees/Boards of Examiners as appropriate, virtually if necessary, and submit an Annual Report. You will not hold more than 2 other UK/Ireland HE External Examiner posts at the start of the contract. Prior experience, AdvanceHE accreditation or assessment experience with apprenticeships are not essential but are desirable qualities.
