The University of Bradford is looking for a dedicated individual to undertake the role of external examiner for our Prescribing for Healthcare Professionals Programme to commence October 2021 for a 4-year term.
The programme provides a qualification to enable nurses, midwives, pharmacists and allied health professionals to prescribe within their area of competence and has approval from the NMC, GPhC and HCPC.
The Programme runs twice a year in semesters one and two.

- The applicant need to hold current registration with the NMC, GPhC or HCPC and have a non-medical prescribing qualification. Knowledge of the educational preparation of independent/supplementary prescribers would be desirable.
- They will be able to undertake a paid role in the assurance of academic standards in Higher Education and should be aware of modern developments in the design and delivery of the flexible curriculum.
- The appointee will be required to moderate a sample of work, submit an annual report, and attend Examiner Induction and Boards of Examiners as appropriate, virtually if necessary.
- You will not hold more than ONE other UK Higher Education External Examiner post at the start of the contract and will be qualified to at least Masters level.
