The Pre-registration Nursing programme, in the Oxford School of Nursing and Midwifery Faculty of
Health and Life Sciences, Oxford Brookes University, is seeking to appoint an external examiner for
the following courses:
- BSc (Hons) Nursing (Child)
- MSci Child and Mental Health Nursing
The successful applicant would be appointed with effect from January 2022 for a term of four
years, and would be joining a team of external examiners from adult and mental health nursing to share the workload for reviewing modules which are taught to the courses above.
External examiners are requested to attend Subject Exam Boards each semester and to complete an
annual report. Once a year the External Examiner is also required to undertake a visit to placement
on the Oxford campus. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed
modifications to modules and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.
