We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified External Examiner (NMC or HCPC registrant) to a number of post-qualification Nursing and Healthcare programmes. These include: BSc (Hons) Health and Community Care (top-up degree), MSc Health and Community Care and standalone CPD modules. Applicants should be working in UK HE with experience of teaching and examining at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The External Examiner is expected to work across our post-qualification provision with the existing External Examiner team, attend Board of Examiners meetings at least once a year, submit an annual report and review coursework.
Previous experience of external examining is not necessary as the University is able to provide mentorship to the successful applicant and an online induction, and further support is provided by the Course Director and Course Leader. The appointment commences on 1 November 2022 and tenure is for four years. All External Examiner appointments are subject to approval by the University.
