Ulster University, School of Nursing, Faculty of Life and Health Sciences is seeking to engage an external examiner for the following programme with effect from September 2022.

We are interested in receiving applications from individuals who have an interest and expertise in the following areas:

  • Public health research and practice
  • Global health and sustainable development
  • Quality education and leadership

External Examiners are typically placed on the Ulster University External Examiner Register for a period of four years. Principle duties include:

  • Attend course examinations at least once a year
  • Produce an annual report
  • Review and approve examination papers and/or assessment material that contributes to a student’s final award
  • Provide comments and feedback on course content and development
  • External Examiners are also invited to engage with students for feedback and evaluation purposes

Fees and expenses are payable in line with University policy. All appointments are subject to meeting the University’s criteria for appointment of External Examiners. Applications will be considered from individuals new to the examining role with relevant professional and academic experience.
