The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified academic to act as External Examiner for the following programme.

MSc Healthcare Practice: This is a broad programme run part time for practitioners working in healthcare from a diverse range of professional backgrounds e.g., Nursing; Physiotherapy; Paramedic; Operating Department Practice; Occupational Therapy etc. It is designed to be applicable to the students work base and therefore is flexible around the option modules with Research and Dissertation being the compulsory elements. Specialist modules are externally examined by a specialist in the field. The programme includes the option of work-based learning recognition which is part of the external examiner role.

The appointment will be with effect from September 2022 and will be for a period of four years and application is via Curriculum Vitae to the below email.

The successful applicant must be registered on the NMC register or HPCP and have relevant experience of working in Healthcare Practice.

The External Examiner will be expected to attend the programme assessment board, consider student work and contribute to the overall assessment process.
