The external examiner will be responsible for the external review of draft assessments/examination papers and the scrutiny of student work samples following internal marking and moderation. External examiners will also be required to attend the termly Board of Examiners meetings and will be required to submit an annual report.

The term of office will be for four academic years commencing with effect from September 2022 and applications are invited from Senior Lecturers, or above, with a recordable teaching qualification. Applicants will be registered with the NMC, HCPC or GPhC. As the appointed external examiner will scrutinise the Degree Apprenticeship route, the School requires that candidates have suitable academic and clinical experience in advanced clinical practice.
