External Examiner – Masters in Leading Quality Improvement and Preventative Health and Health Equity

The School of Health Sciences is looking to appoint an External Examiner for two programmes: our established inter-professional post registration master’s programme in Leading Quality Improvement; and our MSc programme in Prevention, Population Health and Leadership led by the Academy for Health Equity , Prevention and Wellbeing (AHEPW) https://www.bangor.ac.uk/ahepw

Candidates will therefore need to have experience in the subject area of leadership, change management theories and a broad understanding of health strategies. Applicants should have experience of acting as a constructively critical peer to ensure students are assessed fairly and transparently across the programmes. External examiners will be expected to review a range of assessments relating to each programme, be a member of the board of examiners, attend exam boards and give advice relating to curriculum design and programme structure. Examiners will be expected to complete an annual examiners report form and engage with pathway leads and exam officers when necessary. Therefore, candidates should have experience in teaching and examining, have a good understanding of quality assurance, and have specific subject knowledge in relation to the educational preparation of master’s level students in this field of study.

Applicants should be currently employed as a Senior lecturer or above within a university appointment. Applicants must not have been an external examiner for Bangor University during the past 5 years.
