City, University of London is looking to recruit an External Examiner for the successful Independent Non-Medical Prescribing Module which was recently revalidated with the NMC.

The post will commence form October 2021 and will be based on an initial four-year term.

The focus of the role of EE will be to scrutinise and examine a variety of assessments including and exam, a practice assessment document, and a reflective essay within the APM060 Independent Non-Prescribing Module.

External examiner responsibilities include moderation of assessments, completion of an annual monitoring report and attendance at subject panels where student marks are ratified. A schedule of subject panels per academic session will be made available. Experienced and new external examiners will be considered provided the applicant has the relevant professional qualification(s) and experience. Relevant professional experience in the fields of advanced practice and non- medical prescribing and a valid teaching qualification are essential requirements for this post.
Full details of the programmes and modules will be provided to appointees and an induction will be provided by the University following appointment.
