The University of Wolverhampton requires an external examiner for the following course(s) within the Faculty of Education, Health and Wellbeing, School of Nursing:

Graduate Certificate Adult Critical Care Nursing
BSc Adult Critical Care Nursing
Postgraduate Certificate Adult Critical Care Nursing
Recognition, Assessment and Interventions for the Deteriorating Patient (20-credit module, levels 6 and 7)

And:

MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Specialist Negotiated Practice)
MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (with V300)
Research & Evidence-based Practice (20-credit module, level 6)
Advanced Inquiry for Healthcare Professionals (20-credit module, level 7)
Dissertation Module (60-credits, level 7)

External examiners will be expected to monitor the quality of the coursework across the provision(s). We are seeking candidates whose areas of expertise would enable them to monitor the quality of these courses and externally moderate assessed work.

External examiners are required to attend at least one assessment board a year and complete an annual report. External examiners are also required to provide comments on proposed modifications and the development of new modules within their area of expertise.

The appointment will commence on the 1st September 2023, and the tenure of appointment is usually for a period of four years. Please note we cannot accept applications if you have already been an External Examiner for our University in the last 5 years, or if one of our staff is already an Examiner in the same department at your home institution.
