External Examiner(s) for: Cervical screening
Description: We are seeking to appoint an external examiner predominantly for Cervical Screening. On completion, students are eligible for registration with the cervical screening database.
The students can choose to take the module as non-credit bearing or as a level 7 module. There is an assignment attached to the level 7 element which would require external examination.
External examiners will be required to contribute to the assessment process, moderate and report on student work, visit practice placements, attend Course Assessment Boards, submit an annual report and sign off the Course Leader’s response to the report.
Appointees will have relevant field-related experience, academic qualifications to postgraduate level and will be registered with a healthcare registering body. Although previous experience as an external examiner is desirable, the School will make arrangements for new external examiners to have a mentor, where needed. An induction programme is provided for external examiners.
The post is due to commence in September 2024. All appointments are for a period of four years.
