The University of Gloucestershire has recently launched a new programme for BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography. We are seeking a suitable experienced and qualified External Examiner to join the team here, for a 4 year tenure, with immediate start. We are seeking an External Examiner who has both the knowledge of the academic content, delivery and assessment at a minimum of the level being examined, and extensive practise knowledge.
Candidates must be registered with the HCPC, be currently employed by a UK Higher Education Establishment, be UK resident, and have no more than one other significant external examining role currently. The University operates a two-tier examination board system, with external examiners being initially appointed to a Module Board where they will oversee a number of academic modules. More experienced external examiners may subsequently be appointed to an Award and Progression Examination Board. The Examination Board meets three/four times a year and there is an expectation that the external examiner will attend at least one Examination Board and submit an annual report to the University.
All appointments are subject to the candidate meeting the University’s criteria for appointment. In the first instance can you please request an expression of interest form from the undersigned.
