The University of Worcester is looking to appoint an external examiner for our new BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography programme. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced academic staff. The successful applicant must be registered with the HCPC. Previous external examiner experience is preferred, although not essential.
The appointment will be from September 2023 to December 2027. The University of Worcester offers a full induction day and ongoing support for external examiners, including from the Course Leader and module team. The successful candidate will be invited to an External Examiners’ induction day. The next induction day for External Examiners will take place in November 2023.
Most assessments can be reviewed remotely. You will be required to view a selection of assessment submissions for all modules and complete an external examiner report for each module. At the end of the academic year, an annual report is required. You are also required to attend the relevant exam boards.
External examiners should not have previous close involvement with the University which might compromise objectivity. All external examiners must be fluent in the English language and be able to evidence eligibility to work in the UK.
