The School of Health Sciences, University of Dundee is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for our healthcare BSc (post-registration) and MSc Programmes. We offer programmes in leadership, quality improvement, advanced practice and nursing. You would be asked to review work by students on a range of nursing, advanced practice, community and mental health modules and dissertations.
External Examiners are also asked to undertake related activities, such as reviewing exam papers and new assessments. Depending on workload, the successful candidate may also be asked to examine other PQ modules.
The University requires that External Examiners have qualifications at least equivalent to the Programme being examined, so the successful applicant will possess a Masters Degree and should be NMC registered. A teaching qualification recorded with the NMC or Fellow of Higher Education Academy is also required. We would welcome applications from both those with and those without previous external examining experience and would be delighted to offer support and guidance to any successful candidates who are new to external examining.
All appointments will be from 1 September 2023 and will be initially for a four-year period.
