The School of Health Sciences, University of Dundee is seeking to appoint an External Examiner for our BSc (Post Registration) and MSc Nursing Programmes. We offer programmes in leadership, quality improvement, advanced practice, infection prevention and control and nursing. You would also be asked to review work by students on research, work-based learning modules and dissertations and to undertake related activities, such as reviewing exam papers and new assessments. Depending on workload, the successful candidate may also be asked to examine other PQ modules.
The University requires that External Examiners have qualifications at least equivalent to the Programme being examined, so the successful applicant will possess a Master’s Degree and should be NMC registered. A teaching qualification recorded with the NMC or Fellow of Higher Education Academy is also required. We welcome applications from academics with previous external examining experience as well as those without. We would be delighted to offer support and guidance to any successful candidates who are new to external examining.
All appointments are from 1 September 2023 and will be initially for a four-year period.
