The University of Bolton, School of Nursing and Midwifery, is seeking to appoint an external examiner for our BSc / PGDip Community Specialist Practice (District Nursing) programme. Due to unforeseen circumstances the existing EE is unable to continue and we are looking for someone to start with immediate effect. The duties will include the review of the students’ academic work and Practice Assessment Documents plus visiting practice learning partners as required at least once a year as per Nursing and Midwifery Council requirements.
External examiner appointments are typically for a period of four years and the appointment is for a start as soon as possible following approval by the University’s Education Committee and Senate. The applicant will require the relevant experience and knowledge of Post Registration nursing education hold a SPQ qualifications and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council is essential.
