The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences are seeking a replacement external examiner for the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science. The University normally expects external examiners to attend a minimum of one examination board per year. The University of Surrey offers extensive support for external examiners. Further support is also provided by the programme lead
Applicants are advised that the University applies the following criteria to external examiners:
Applicants should have recently been employed (or are still employed) within a university appointment;
They must not have been a University of Surrey examiner within the last five years;
They will have a recognised paramedic qualification, and be regsiterd with the HCPC
The External Examiner will be appointed for four years, starting September 2023.
They are expected and encouraged to comment on the content of the subject area particularly regarding subject benchmarks, the structure of the programme, the appropriateness of the assessment procedures and the general conduct of the assessment process for levels 4, 5 and 6 .
