Wrexham University in North East Wales is looking to appoint an External Examiner for the BSc Hons Occupational Therapy programme.
Principle duties will include:
- Verifying assessment
- Moderating work
- Attending assessment boards
- Commenting on proposed programme/module enhancements and developments
- To write an annual External Examiner report
The appointment will be for a period of 4 years starting with the academic year 2024/2025 and the external examiner will work alongside another examiner.
Applicants should be qualified occupational therapists and have subject expertise in the occupational therapy subject area, and preferably external examiner experience or have completed Advance HE training. The candidate should also be currently teaching in this subject area and have had curriculum design/development experience relating to higher academic level programmes.
External examiners are expected to review the assessment process and moderate work and attend the assessment board once a year usually in June / July.
