Staffordshire University School of Health and Social Care is seeking to appoint an External Examiner to ensure appropriate quality standards are achieved within its BSc (Hons) Nursing Practice (Child) programmes. The course consists of a variety of modules, which are designed to enable the integration of theory with practice incorporating evidence and research. Care, compassion, and values-based family centred care is a central theme throughout. In addition, all modules adopt a five-stage approach to support the utilizing of simulation in our teaching and learning.
The applicant should hold current registration as a child nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
The above appointment will be for a period of 4 years.

Whilst previous external examining experience would be an advantage, the University supports suitably qualified individuals wishing to secure their first post as an external examiner. First-time examiners will be allocated a mentor at the time of appointment.
