We are seeking to appoint a team of external examiners for an exciting collaboration between Oxford Brookes University Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and Global Banking School.
The BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing and Social Care is a degree which is offered with a Foundation Year, levels 4, 5 and 6. Students can also enter at level 6 as a top-up award. This programme seeks to widen participation in higher education by supporting students who may not traditionally consider degree-level education. The partnership seeks to empower students to reach their potential academically and professionally. Students learn in sites around England, through a classroom-based, flexible learning model.
The suitable candidate for this role will be currently engaged in teaching of a health or social care degree at undergraduate level. Experience of working on programmes with mature learners would be helpful.
The appointment is from the beginning of September 2023 for a term of four years. External Examiners are required to moderate assessments, attend examination committees, and to complete an annual report. External Examiners are also requested to provide comments on proposed modifications to modules and the development of new modules, within their area of expertise.
